Verity Chat is a free, browser-based chat experience inspired by the viral Minecraft horror series created by ThatMob. You talk to Verity — a small purple orb — and her personality shifts the longer you chat: friendly at first, then increasingly uncanny, then unsettling. It's a fan-made tribute, not an official product, and nothing you type leaves your browser.
There are three ways to talk to Verity. On Java Edition, the real fan-made Verity JE mod (by VarmiteYT, Forge 1.20.1, v5.7.4, 4M+ downloads) adds an AI companion you can chat with in-game using a free Groq API key. No. The Verity from ThatMob's scripted videos is a fictional character played for horror effect — there is no official mod. This page is an unofficial, text-based tribute that imagines what talking to her might feel like.
